THE LEAD – Both the Lesley University men's and women's cross country squads competed on Saturday morning at the 2024 Brown Bear Invitational at the beautiful High Park course in Attleboro, Mass.

LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS

• First year Rebecca Hall (Richmond, Vt.) was the top Lynx finisher in the women's race coming in with a time of 29:07
• The women's cohort finished 18^th overall in the team standings.
• In the men's race, Tyrese Baffour (Auburn, Mass.) and Jaxon Miles (Arlington, Texas) finished with near identical times of 31:48 with Balfour coming in just a few milliseconds ahead of his teammate as the first Lesley finisher in the men's event.
• The men's squad posted a 21^st place finish in the team event.

WINNING PERFORMANCES

• Battle Road Track Club picked up the team win in the women's race with 49 points, nipping the Sacred Heart group who finished second with 56 points. Alexandra Ross bested the field with a time of 22:35 from the Tracksmith running club.
• It was also the Battle Road Track Club on the men's side, cruising to the team win with 30 points and the top two finishers including Timothy Gill with a time of 25:01.

• The Lynx are off next weekend and return to competition on Friday, October 11 for the 12th Annual Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup hosted by Franklin Pierce University at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H.
