Men's Cross Country Finished 33rd at UMass-Dartmouth 8K

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Lesley University men's cross country team finished 33rd  with a team score of 1,017 at the UMass-Dartmouth 8K Invitational, Saturday afternoon.

Senior Tyler Burns (Newton, Pa.) led the Lynx running a 6:22-minute mile to cross the finish line with a time of 31:43.38 and finish 197th in the 242-runner field. Sophomore Mike Fleming (Southwick, Mass.) was not far off Burns' pace finishing just under a minute behind with a time of 32:56.38. First year Matthew Mori (Natick, Mass.) ran a 7:11.3-minute mile to finish with a total time of 35:43.65.

First year Ethan Merians (Larchmont, N.Y.) and sophomore David Foust (Newton, Mass.) rounded out the Lynx runners, each running at a nine-minute pace. Merians' crossed the finish line with a time of 48:22.00 while Foust finished a minute later at 49:20.00.

The Lynx will be back in action next Saturday, September 24th, when they travel to Chicopee, Mass. for the Elms College Blazer Invitational.
