Lynx Fall in Doubleheader to Monarchs

GAME OVERVIEW:

MEDFORD, MA. – The Lesley men's volleyball team was swept again in a doubleheader against Kings College on Tuesday night. The two losses puts the Lynx at 0-8 overall on the season, while the Monarchs advance to 16-4 overall.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Monarchs were in control from the start, taking the first set 25-5. The Lynx steadily improved, but still lost the next two sets 25-10 and 25-11 for the 3-0 sweep.
  • Joe Joe Herman led the Monarchs in kills in the first match with 14, while Matt Piontkowski had ten. George Beck racked up all 37 assists for Kings in the first match.
  • AJ Genova led the Lynx in kills in the first match with 6, while Sean Pugatch had 3. Jake den Bleyker had 6 assists and Armando Bahena had 4.
  • Lesley fought hard in the first set of the second match, but again lost 25-16. They dropped the next two sets both by 25-9 scores to lose 3 sets to none again.
  • Herman led his team again with 15 kills, while PIontowski and Sam Capwell both had 8. Beck again led with 36 assists.
  • Genova got ten kills for Lesley in the second match, with den Bleyker again leading in assists with 16.

The Lynx host another home doubleheader, this time against Emmanuel, on Thursday March 5th with matches beginning at 6 & 8 PM.
