Lynx finish Fourth in Inaugural NECC Championship; Fleming Claims First place in Long Jump

Weston, MA. - Lesley Men's Track & Field program claimed fourth place in inaugural NECC Track & Field Championship at Regis Stadium on the campus of Regis College on Sunday afternoon. The Lynx collected 12 points on the afternoon to in the accumulations of the NECC results, competing in five different events. All results are among competitors in the NECC.

LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Mike Fleming (Southwick, MA.) was the standout performer as he captured victory in the Long Jump with a leap of 5.77 meters, earning 10 points for the Lynx in team scoring.
  • Fleming continued his stellar day in 100m dash as he placed third clocking a time of 11.89 seconds. Jalen Philogene (West Hartford, CT.) followed behind clocking in at 12.81, while Tyler Gomes (Plymouth, MA.) and Will Erwin (Scitaute, MA.) rounded out the group finishing with times of 13.14 and 20.93 seconds, respectively.
  • In other field events, Fleming placed fifth in Triple Jump, with a jump of 10.37 meters. Meanwhile in the shot put, Steven Newman (Natick, MA.) finished in ninth place with a throw of 7.22 meters.
