THE LEAD – The Lesley University men's tennis team wrapped up its weekend in Maine with a non-conference matchup against Southern Maine where the squad fell, 9-0. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

Doubles:

• In the first doubles spot, DJ Cronin (New York, N.Y.) and (Thomas Nicol (Acton, Mass.) dropped the first set, 8-1. 
• The second pairing in doubles Miles Brajdic (Atlanta, Georgia) and Jeremy Ouellette (Old Saybrook, Conn.) fell by a score of 8-2. 
• Finally, the three spot in doubles saw the pairing of James Ontiveros (Waltham, Mass.) and Hunter Treanor (Bulverde, Texas) lost, 8-0.

Singles:

• Despite the loss in the five spot, Ouelltte played hard in a competitive 6-4, 6-2 loss. 
• Leading off singles action for Lesley, Nicol fell 6-1, 6-1. 
• The second spot saw Brajdic take part but ended up with a 6-0, 6-2 defeat. 
• In singles three, Cronin was downed 6-2, 6-2. 
• Ontiveros took part in singles four however he dropped was defeated by a score of 6-0, 6-0. 
• Finally, in the sixth singles spot of the match, Treanor was also defeated 6-0, 6-0.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Sunday's match marked the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

• Lesley will have its home opener next weekend when the squad hosts Norwich University for a doubleheader on Saturday April 5, starting at 10:00 a.m.
