Lynx Conclude Season with Loss at Suffolk

North Reading, MA. - The Lesley men's tennis team fell in final match of season with 7-2 loss against Suffolk University, on Tuesday evening at North Reading High School.

LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS:

In doubles play, Suffolk grabbed a 2-1 advantage. The Rams started off with win a No. 2 doubles (8-0) and No. 1 (8-1), finishing in respective order. The duo of Patrick Corcoran (West Hartford, CT.)/ Christian Fox (Old Saybrook, CT.) grabbed a point with a (8-5) win at No. 3 doubles to prevent the sweep of doubles.

Meanwhile, in singles play, Suffolk would win the opening three matches of singles play to secure victory over the Lynx. In respective order, wins at No. 3 (6-3, 6-1), No. 6 (6-3, 6-3), and at No. 4 (6-3, 7-5), guaranteed the Rams a win. Suffolk would go on to win the next two singles matches, in order, No. 1 (6-0, 6-0) and a closely contested No. 2 singles (7-6, 4-6, 10-6), with William Sgro (North Haven, CT.) narrowly taking the loss. Corcoran finished the evening with his second win of match at the No. 5 singles (6-2, 6-0) to close out the season for the Lynx.
