Pomfret, CT. - The Lesley men's tennis team dropped road match against Nichols College, 7-2, on Monday evening at the Pomfret School. Match was moved from Nichols College due to poor weather conditions.

LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS:

In doubles play, Nichols grabbed a 2-1 advantage. The Bison started off with win a No. 1 doubles (8-2) and No. 2 (8-1), finishing in respective order. The duo of Patrick Corcoran (West Hartford, CT)/ Evan Zona (Hingham, MA.) grabbed a point with a (8-6) win at No. 3 doubles to prevent the sweep of doubles.

Meanwhile, in singles play, Nichols would win the opening three matches of singles play to secure victory over the Lynx. In respective order, wins at No. 2 (6-2, 6-1), and No 1. (6-1, 6-1), and a close battle at No. 6 (6-3, 1-6, 6-2), with Ryan O'Leary (Holden, MA.) for the Lynx, guaranteed the Bison a win. The Bison would go on to win the next two singles matches, No. 3 (6-3, 6-0) and No. 4 (6-0, 6-2), before Corcoran picked up his second win of the day at the No. 5 singles (8-5), pro set rules, in that order.
