Pride reigns supreme in 8-1 NECC playoff win

WESTON, MA -- The Pride earned all three doubles points and five of six singles points in Regis' 8-1 New England Collegiate Conference playoff win over the visiting Lynx on Wednesday.

Playing in his final college match, senior Christian Domingo picked up Lesley's lone point on the day, beating Regis' Jeffrie Parrish, 6-3, 7-6, (7-5), in third singles.

Lesley freshman Thomas Tedesco lost a hard-fought point to Regis' Sophorn Nop, 6-4, 6-4, in fourth singles, and Tedesco and Jimmy Paulsen were nipped 8-6 by Matthew Smolko and Mouhamed Diallo in third singles.

Domingo wraps up his final season with the Lynx at 8-4 in singles play, including a 3-1 record in No. 2 singles. He and junior Nick Mattox teamed to go 7-4 in No. 1 doubles action and 6-3 from the top spot in NECC play.

The Lynx wrap up 2012 at 6-7, including 5-5 in NECC play and 3-3 at the Nicholas Athletics Center.
