CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Lesley University fell to 4-4 in NECC play (4-5 overall) with a hard-fought 5-4 loss to visiting Becker College (4-8, 4-4 NECC) Wednesday night in New England Collegiate Conference men's tennis play at the Nicholas Athletics Center.

Becker captured two of three doubles points and picked up enduring third and fifth singles wins. Branden Parkhouse (Rancho Cucamonga, CA/Los Osos) edged fellow Californian Christian Domingo (Granada Hills, CA/Delphi) 6-4, 5-7, 7-6, (11-9) in No. 3 singles, and David Graham (Rancho Cucamonga, CA/Los Osos) sneaked past Mike Kaufman (Boca Raton, FL/American Heritage) by the count of 7-6 (7-3), 4-6, 6-4 in No. 5 singles.
Graham and fellow junior Jason Alera (Shrewsbury, MA/Shrewsbury) earned one of the Hawks two doubles points, 8-6 over Kaufman and Jimmy Paulsen (Monroe, CT/Masuk).
For the Lynx, Domingo and Nick Mattox (Pasadena, MD/Chesapeake) topped Parkhouse and Tim Howard, 8-3 in top doubles (video above), with Mattox besting Howard 6-0, 6-2 in first singles. Sophomore Paolo DiPietrantonio (Cambridge, MA/Rindge & Latin) defeated Jake Gilbert 6-1, 6-1 in second singles, and Paulsen improved to 4-1 on the season with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 win over Devon Dubuque.
Lesley plays its third NECC match in three days on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Regis, while Becker plays host to Wheelock on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
