BOSTON -- Lesley men's tennis upped its record to 3-3 in New England Collegiate Conference play with a convincing win over Wheelcok, 8-1 Tuesday night at Winsor Courts.
Lynx junior Nick Mattox picked up victories in both of the top spots, beating Bobby Venning 7-5, 6-0 in No. 1 singles and teaming with senior Christian Domingo to top Venning and Claire O'Donoghue 8-1 in first doubles. In No. 3 singles, Domingo made quick work of Miles Carey-Snow, 6-0, 6-0.
Lesley's Paolo DiPietrantonio and Thomas Tedesco each earned two points, with the prior besting Charles Armstrong-Hi 6-4, 6-3 and Tedesco topping Claire O'Donoghue 6-2, 6-2. The Lynx tandem paired to best Armstrong-Hi and Carey-Snow 8-2 in second singles.
At 3-4 overall and 3-3 in league play, the Lynx return to the court on Thursday against Becker at 3:00 p.m. at the Arsenal Courts in Watertown, MA.
