LEICESTER, MA -- Lesley men's tennis improved to 7-0 overalll and 5-0 in New England Collegiate Conference play in 2011 with a 5-4 road win at NECC rival Becker College.
David Newton was the only Lynx player who picked up singles and doubles wins, beating Jake Gilbert 6-0, 6-3 in first singles and teaming with Alex Zhitnik for an 8-3 first doubles win over Gilbert and Brian Piquitte.
Newton and fellow senior Tyler Reeves will be honored before tomorrow's Senior Day match at 5:00 p.m. at BB&N's Nicholas Athletics Center against Newbury.
