CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Junior midfielder Nick Wadleigh (Glastonbury, Conn.) was named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) All-Conference East Division Second Team as announced by the conference earlier this afternoon. Caleb Race (Wellington, Fla.) was also named as an honorable mention for All-Conference, and Ciledson Segundo (Dedham, Mass.) earned a spot on the NAC Sportsmanship Team.
Wadleigh had a career year for the Lynx, setting new career highs in goals (eight), points (16), shots (26), shots on goal (15), and game-winning goals (two).
Wadleigh set a new in-game career-high when he scored twice in a 4-1 win over UMaine Presque-Isle (Sept. 21), and he also set a new in-game best for points with four. The junior also had a stretch for the Lynx, scoring in three straight contests and helping Lesley go 1-1-1 in that frame. Along with being the Lynx's top goal-scorer this year, Wadleigh was also in the top 10 for goals scored in the NAC, coming in at sixth place. For Wadleigh, this is his first All-Conference nomination.
For Race, he earned an honorable mention for NAC All-Conference after he played and started in a career-high 16 games while also setting a career-high in shots on goal with four. For Segundo, in his first year, he made a strong impact for the Lynx and his presence was felt on the field after playing in 14 games and starting in three. He made his collegiate debut on September 8 at Curry and then got his first start on September 28 at Maine Maritime.
Overall, Lesley finished 3-12-1 and 2-7-1 in conference play on the year. The Lynx's three wins came against Fitchburg State (Sept. 14) and UMaine Presque-Isle twice (Sept. 21 and Oct. 5). Their lone tie was against NAC East Division champion Thomas College (Oct.8). In its wins, Lesley outscored its opponents, 9-1.
