- Lesley had a few chances early in the second stanza but Curry keeper Justin Ritz was up to the task, keeping the game scoreless.
- The Colonels broke through in the 57th minute of play on a penalty kick by Aiden Watts, his third score of the year, to put the hosts on top, 1-0.
- The Lynx had a solid look minutes later following a foul just outside the box but Ritz denied the ensuing shot attempt on frame to preserve the one-goal lead.
- During the final six minutes of play, Lesley tested Ritz with six shot including five on frame but the goalie stood tall for his first shutout win of the 2024 campaign.
