THE LEAD –  The Lynx snagged their second win of the season last night, beating Mitchell College 1-0.   

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The first half of the game had the Mariners and Lynx battling for possession, Mitchell out shooting Lesley 10-5. However, the game remained scoreless heading into halftime after a huge defensive save from Lesley's Osmyn Atwood.  
• Lesley scored in the 56^th minute, after Atwood sent a direct kick in for Adrian Esparragoza to quickly fire into the back of Mitchells net.
• The two teams continued to go back and forth, but Lesley stayed strong in the defensive end and held onto the lead.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Esparragoza records his first game winning goal on the match.
• Josiah Williams recorded six saves, and a shutout on the contest; the first of his career.

• The Lynx are back on the field Saturday, October 7^th with a home field conference matchup against Eastern Nazarene College.
