THE LEAD – The Lynx headed to Maine Maritime Academy for an NAC matchup, falling to the Mariners 3-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mariners were the first to put a goal on the board 15 minutes into the match, John-John Dickenson assisted by Holden Nichols.
- Gabriel Toledo propelled the Mariners 2-0 at the 28-minute mark after stealing the ball from a Lynx defender and sending the ball to the back of the net.
- The Lynx headed into the second half down by two, having two attempts to the goal before the Mariners put a third goal on the board. Toledo sent another ball in, this time assisted by Landon Nichols.
- The Lynx solo goal came in the 72nd minute of the match, an unassisted goal from Marc Kenny Derac.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Josiah Williams held strong in the net for the Lynx, posting six saves on the match, and three goals against.
- Rookie Derac posted his third career goal agaist the Mariners.
