THE LEAD – The Lynx lost to Thomas College after a closely matched game, with a score of 2-2 until Thomas scored the game winning goal with one second left in regulation time.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Terriers notched two goals in the first 22 minutes of the match, sending Lesley down two goals early in the game.
- The Lynx kept the Terriers scoreless for the rest of the half, despite the 6 shots they fired off.
- At the 53rd minute mark, an own goal from the Terriers gave Lesley the ammunition they needed to climb out of their now, one goal deficit.
- Just about 20 minutes later, the Terriers recorded another own goal, handing Lesley a tied game.
- Micky Woodrow fired off a shot towards Josiah Williams, forcing him to make an incredible diving save toward his right side.
- With less than a second left on the clock, Thomas' Joshua Joseph sent one to the back of the net, assisted by Woodrow to secure the Terriers win.
