THE LEAD – Men's soccer falls to the Trailblazer's of MCLA in a non-conference matchup. The Lynx played a strong game but struggled offensively, being outshot 14-9 (6-4 on net).  

HOW IT HAPPENED

• After eighteen minutes of back and forth play, freshman Reynaldo Castro took the ball through two Lynx defenders and netted one for MCLA.
• The remainder of the first half was scoreless, until Jose Sandoval fired one in from the twenty-yard line for MCLA's second goal of the game.
• The last goal of the game came just seven minutes later when Avery Manzolini was able to single handedly make it through three Lynx defenders and fire one straight to the back of the net.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Josiah Williams put up three saves on the match, ending with an even 50 save percentage.
• The Lynx and Trailblazers last met during the 2022 season, where MCLA won 4-0.

• The Lynx are back on the pitch Saturday, with a conference matchup against UMaine Farmington.
