THE LEAD – Lesley defense put up a strong fight in todays matchup but ultimately fell to the Owls in a 5-0 game.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first 2o minutes of the game remained scoreless as both teams battled back and forth for an opportunity on net, until senior forward Mbambi Mbungu received a cross pass from Declan Coughlin to put the Owl's first goal on the board.
- The next goal came just two minutes later when Mbungu sent a pass from the left for Ali Alzawar to one-time into the back of the Lynx net.
- Mbungu tacks one more on the board for the Owls with a quick one-timer from just in front of the net, with an assist to Rahul Drukpa.
- Mbungu starts the 2nd half strong with an unassisted goal for the Owls, his 4th goal on the season.
- The last goal of the match comes from Giacomo Sinopoli off of a through ball from Brandon Comire.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Mbambi Mbungu records 3 goals on the match, setting him at 4 goals in just a two-game time span.
- Josiah Williams put up a fight in the net for the Lynx, recording 10 saves on 15 shots.
