No. 3 Eastern Nazarene Hosts No. 6 Lesley in NECC Quarterfinal

Marshfield,Mass.-- The 6th seeded Lynx take on the 3rd seeded Eastern Nazarene College Tuesday evening at 7:30pm at Legion Field in Weymouth, MA in the first round of the NECC Championship Tournament.  Lesley goalkeeper Patrick Corcoran (West Hartford, Conn.) has been strong in goal for the Lynx, posting a .909 save percentage in four conference games.  Liam Perrine leads the charge with 5 goals and 10 points in 15 matches this season.

Newbury College finished the regular season without a conference loss to take home the NECC regular season men's soccer crown with a 5-0-3 record. The Nighthawks topped the league in conference goals, led by Kobe Barnes' (Hartford, Conn.) four goals. Newbury also allowed the fewest goals in conference play, averaging 0.47 goals per game, behind goalkeeper Chris Tran's (Nantucket, Mass.) 0.20 goals-against average and .933 save percentage, both tops in the conference. Newbury has earned a bye, and will host the winner of the first round match-up between No. 5 New England College and No. 4 Elms College on Friday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m.

The second first round bye goes to Mitchell College, who finished the regular season 6-2-0. The defending champion Mariners have seen strong play from Quinn Outerbridge (Hamilton, Bermuda), who has tallied four goals in conference play. Mitchell will host the winner of the first round match-up between No. 6 Lesley University and No. 3 Eastern Nazarene College on Friday, November 2.

The second first round game will be hosted by No. 4 seed Elms College on Tuesday, October 30 at 4:00 p.m., when they face No. 5 New England College. The match-up features the conference's leading goal scorer in Babba Jaden (Clarkston, Ga.) of Elms, who tallied eight conference goals. New England College's Cooper Valinski (Portsmouth, N.H.) is an offensive threat for the Pilgrims, netting four goals in league play.

The winners of the semifinal games will face off in the NECC Championship on Sunday, November 4, at the highest remaining seed.

Game 2: #6 Lesley (3-4-1) at #3 Eastern Nazarene (4-2-2) - 7:30 p.m. at Legion Field (Weymouth, MA)

Game 3: Game 1 winner @ #1 Newbury (5-0-3) – 2:00 p.m.

Game 4: Game 2 winner @ #2 Mitchell (6-2-0) – 2:00 p.m.
