Men's Soccer Suffers Setback at Dean

FRANKLIN, Mass. – The Lesley University men's soccer team suffered an 8-0 setback to Dean College in a non-conference matchup Wednesday afternoon. The loss drops the Lynx to 0-3 on the season while the Bulldogs improve to a perfect 3-0.

The Bulldogs offense – which has outscored their opponents by a 21-0 margin in their first three games of the season – got on the board early as sophomore Kessy Alves (Brockton, Mass.) buried a feed from classmate Samuel Fonseca (Brockton, Mass.) in the 11th minute to give the hosts a 1-0 edge. Classmate Leandro Alves (Pawtucket, R.I.) connected for the second goal of the game just six minutes later before Kessy Alves registered his second marker of the half to cap the scoring in the first in the 26th minute.

The Bulldogs would stay on the gas in the second half and opened up a four goal advantage just 48-seconds into play after intermission when junior Edmar Vieira (Brockton, Mass.) found the back of the net. Dean would add four more over the course of play for the 8-0 triumph.

Lesley will look to get back in the win column on Monday, September 12th when they travel to Suffolk University at 7:00p.
