Five From Men's Soccer Named NECC All-Conference

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Five members of the Lesley University men's soccer team have been honored by the New England Collegiate Conference as the postseason awards were announced today. Seniors Herbin Berreondo (Brighton, Mass.) and Jordan Santos (Middlebury, Conn.) were joined on the All-Conference First Team by sophomore Erik Johansen (West Harrison, N.Y.) while junior Chase Donley (Elizabethtown, Pa.) and sophomore Billy Baker (Sacramento, Calif.) were each named to the All-Conference Second Team.

Berreondo was again proved to be one of the top defenders in the conference, anchoring a backline that allowed just six goals in seven conference matches. The senior also put quite the exclamation point on his career at Edward Field as he headed home two goals in Lesley's 3-2 win over Newbury College in the NECC First Round. This marks the second time he has been honored by the NECC as he was voted to the All-Conference Second Team in 2013.

Santos finished the regular season with three goals and three assists in seven conference matches before adding three helpers in the 3-2 win over Newbury in the First Round of the NECC Championship.

Johansen backed up his 2013 NECC Rookie of the Year campaign in solid fashion as he finished the conference slate with three goals and an assist. In 15 total matches, the sophomore finished tied for second in the NECC with eight goals and tied for third with 17 points.

Donley finished tied for second with a 1.32 GAA in his first season as the starter for the Lynx. The junior cracked the program record books as his 1565 minutes and six shutouts were both the third highest totals in a single season.

Baker helped solidify a defensive unit that was among the tops in the NECC. The outside back also posted one goal and one assist on the offensive side of the ball.
