(CAMBRIDGE, Mass.) - Senior Ari Sinanis was recently selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) 2012 NCAA All-New England First-Team. This is Sinanis' second selection by the NSCAA.
Sinanis helped lead the Lynx to a 12-6-2 overall record, including a 7-0 record in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC), and the first overall seed in the conference tournament.
"This is another great accolade to a tremendous career here at Lesley, he deserves all the attention he is getting and will be greatly missed by the staff and his teammates," said head coach Paul Vasconcelos.
Sinanis finished his senior season with seven goals and 11 assists for a total of 25 points, earning him NECC Player of the Year honors and an NECC All-Conference first team selection.
He leaves Lesley as the Lynx career leader in goals (33), assists (32), and total points (98) while also leading the team to 2011 NECC Championship and the programs first appearance in the NCAA Division men's soccer championship tournament.
