CAMBRIDGE, MA -- After scoring the game-winning goal in overtime of the Lynx 1-0 win at Elms on Saturday, Lynx freshman Ryan Richardson has been named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week.

The forward took a pass from sophomore Jordan Santos and scored on a breakaway, snapping the scoreless tie at 93:17. The win keeps the Lynx perfect at 6-0-0 in NECC play and moves the team to 9-4-2 overall.

The award is Richardson's second of the season, also having received the honor on September 24 after scoring the game-winning goal at Southern Vermont.

Richardson's Lynx return to the field Tuesday night, playing host to Mitchell College at 8:00.
