Sinanis, Lynx silence Becker for fourth straight win

LEICESTER, MA -- Lesley improved to 3-0 in New England Collegiate Conferene men's soccer play and 6-2-2 overall with a 3-0 win at Becker College on Saturday.

Senior Ari Sinanis led the Lynx with a pair of goals, as Lesley scored three times in a 19-minute span starting midway through the first half. At 22:06, Sinanis got the Lynx on the board on a feed from sophomore Jordan Santos. The Lynx struck again in the 38th minute, when senior Sean Randall assisted on a goal to reigning NECC Rookie of the Week Ryan Richardson.

Lesley completed its barrage at 41:06, when Sinanis sent home a rebound off a Makenzie Lukas miss, putting the Lynx ahead 3-0 going into halftime and holding the Hawks scoreless in the second half for a fourth straight win.

Senior Nigel Leahy earned his first shutout of the season, stopping both Becker shots on goal. On the day, Lesley outshot the Hawks 17-4.

Leahy and the Lynx now face their toughest test to date, returning to play on Tuesday in playing host to No. 2 nationally ranked Amherst College.
