CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Gustavo Nascimento has joined the Lynx men's soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach.
"I am extremely excited to be joining the Lynx men's soccer coaching staff," Nascimento said. "This is a program with high ambitions and I look foward to be part of its future success."
Nascimento spent last season on the sidelines at Anna Maria College of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference in Paxton, MA, coaching under former Lynx defender and current Amcats head coach Zach Rocha.
Nascimento has been involved with soccer most of his life. The Brazil native played at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School in South Yarmouth, MA and continues to play in area amateur leagues as an adult. On the coaching side, in addition to his time spent at Anna Maria, he works with various local organizations, including Medford Youth Soccer and Sidekick Soccer Academy.
He carries a United States Soccer Federation E license and NFHS Coaches Principles, Soccer Technical and Tactical Skills accreditation. Nascimento studied history with a minor in Spanish at the University of Massachusetts, where he graduated in 2006.
