CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Freshman Ali Sozeri has been named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Sozeri scored two goals in Lesley's 5-0 out-of-conference win at Rivier on Tuesday. He assisted on two goals as the Lynx moved to 2-0-0 in NECC play in Saturday's 7-3 win at Elms.

The 6-1 forward leads the NECC in shots with 32 and is tied for the league lead in goals with five.

Sozeri's Lynx are back in action on Wednesday at Suffolk at 8 p.m.
