WESTON, Mass. - It took the Lesley University men's soccer team 262 minutes to score goal of the season, but Woody Davidson's (Keeseville, N.Y.) go-ahead score in the second half against Regis College elevated the Lynx to their first victory of the season.

At 82:04, Zachary Almeida-Beers (Rehoboth, Mass.) attempted to head the ball in the net off a side throw-in but Regis keeper Andrew LaMacchia made the save.  Davidson, however, was there to clean up the mess to score the game's first goal.

Just under three minutes later, Davidson would hook up with freshman Dallas Eubanks (St. Petersburg, Fla.) to give Lesley the 2-0 lead with just five minutes left to play.

The Lynx defense was able to shutdown Regis for much of the game as Sonny Ljutica (Rexford, N.Y.) was barely contested in the match, needing only to make two saves.

Regis' best opportunity to score came when a late offsides call took away a goal scored by a Regis forward.

With the victory, Lesley improved to 1-2-0 (0-0-0 NECC) on the season.  Their next opponent will be Rivier College on Saturday, September 6 at 3:00 pm.  Come support all of Lynx Athletics as this weekend will be the Lynx Fall Kick-Off, sponsored by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
