Lancaster Bible College edges Lesley 1-0 in opener

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In the first match of the season for both men's teams from Lesley University and Lancaster Bible College, the Chargers edged the Lynx 1-0 on a late second half goal by Cory Greiser (Quakertown, Pa.).

Both halves were full of close offensive opportunities, but Greiser's goal came in the 79th minute, unassisted.  The freshman was able to shed his defender down the left side of the field to go one-on-one with Lesley keeper Sonny Ljutica (Rexford, N.Y.) and put the Chargers up for good.

Lesley applied plenty of offensive pressure in the game's final ten minutes, but the Lynx were unable to score the game-tying goal.

Lesley will be in action on Sunday afternoon against Thomas College up in Waterville, Maine while Lancaster Bible College with travel to Regis College on the same day.
