Lesley players awarded All-Conference honors

WHITINGHAM, Vt. - The North Atlantic Conference announced their All-Conference Teams with several Lesley University players recognized for their hard-work in the 2007 season.

Junior midfielder Sam Mead (Worthing, ENGLAND) was named First Team All-Conference in a season in which he netted 5 goals and assisted on 4 more for a total of 14 points.  Two goals and two assists came in conference play.

Senior back Mark Montgomery (Leeds, ENGLAND) and freshman striker Tyler Reeves (Coventry, Conn.) both grabbed Second Team All-Conference honors.  Montgomery in his final season with the Lynx was part of a solid backfield that allowed only 12 goals in NAC games.  Reeves scored four of his nine goals in conference play and chipped in with three assists for 21 points.  He was also named NAC Rookie of the Week twice this season.

Sophomore back Scott Wheeler (East Hampton, Conn.) received Honorable Mention from the NAC.  In just his second season with the Lynx, has established himself as one of the best sweepers in the conference.

Lesley finished the season with an 8-10 (3-6 NAC) record and exited the NAC playoff tournament in the quarterfinals with a 2-0 loss to Husson College.
