CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Freshman Zachary Almeida-Beers (Rehoboth, Mass.), in his first season with the Lynx, capped off a solid rookie campaign by winning the North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week honors.

On 40 total shots, the Lesley goalie made 22 saves allowing only four goals in three games. In his game against Curry College, Almeida-Beers stopped 15 total shots on goal in recording a 2-0 shutout victory. It was one was of greatest individual performances for the Lynx this season.
Head coach Paul Vasconcelos had this to say about his rookie keeper, "I'm glad Zach has finally gotten some recognition for his hard work this year. To come in his freshman year and help the team make the NAC playoff tournament is an amazing accomplishment. The whole team is proud of his efforts."
With Almeida-Beers in net, the Lynx finished the season 7-10-1 (3-6 NAC) and grabbed the sixth seed in the NAC Championships. Their playoff run ended in their quarterfinal match up with Husson College, but played a great game against a top notch team.
