Men's soccer loses heartbreaker

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In one of the more exciting games of the year the Male Lynx were on the wrong end of some bad luck and fell to the Saints of Emmanuel 3-2.

Emmanuel struck early as Jeff Thorton got a great pass from Christopher Clarke which led to a fast break, and Thorton drilled the ball inside the right post for the games first goal (13th minute).  Then just 18 minutes later Clarke scored off of a Fabian Segarra pass in the 31st minute, giving Emmanuel a 2-0 lead.  The half would end with Emmanuel leading 2-0.

Instead of rolling over the Male Lynx never gave up and fought hard from the first minute of the second half.  James Boursiquot (Bridgeport, Conn.) scored his first of 2 goals just 53 seconds into the second half.  Boursiquot got a great pass from Sam Mead (Worthing, ENGLAND) and buried it past the keeper.

After some near misses by Lesley, Boursiquot struck again the 66th minute when he received a Brian Aderer (Acton, Mass.) cross and punched it past the goalies, knotting the game at 2.

Lesley had the full momentum swing and it appeared that they were in fact going to pull of this amazing comeback.  However, Emmanuel caught a break when Mark Iannucci lofted a perfect ball to Clarke who got a fast-break call for the game winner in the 76th minute.
