CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - It was a difficult afternoon for the Lesley Lynx on October 5, as Lesley dropped a 3-1 non-conference road decision to Newbury.
The loss caused Lesley to fall to 3-5-1, while Newbury improved to 3-6-1.
John Mawson knotted a goal and an assist for Newbury, who outshot Lesley 22-11.
The Lynx' lone bright spot came in the 84th minute when freshman defender Scott Wheeler (East Hampton, Conn.) scored his team-leading fourth goal and kept Newbury from posting a shutout.
