THE LEAD— Competing against a field filled with teams from all over New England, the Lesley University men's golf team came in 11th place at the Rich Korzec Memorial Invitational Monday after scoring a 402 (+122) on the day.
Western New England ended up winning the tournament with a score of 288 (+8). Worcester State took second at 305 (+25), followed by Salem State at 309 (+29), then Rhode Island College at 313 (+33), and finally Emmanuel at 316 (+36) to round out the top five.
LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Ouellette paced the Lynx overall with a score of 85 (+15) which was good for a top-35 finish (33rd) in a field of 54. His best stretch was on the front nine when he pared on three-straight holes (5-7).
- After Ouellette Patrick Teasdale (Stamford, Conn.) scored a 99 (+27) for 49th place. His best mark on the day came during the back nine where he pared on the third hole on the back nine.
- Not far behind Teasdale was Mason Erwin (Ivoryton, Conn.) who came in 52nd at 108 (+38). Erwin had a stretch on the back nine where he recorded a par on the last two holes to cap off his day. Finally, Hunter Treanor (Bulverde, Texas) rounded out the Lynx with a 53rd place finish at 110 (+40). Treanor's best hole came during the front nine at hole number six where he finished with a par.
