THE LEAD – The Lesley University men's golf team teed off in its first-ever North Atlantic Conference Championship Sunday afternoon at the Chicopee Country Club in Chicopee, Mass. After day one of the tournament, the Lynx are currently in seventh place (363 points), whereas Husson University is currently leading the way with a score of 302. 

LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS

• Previous NAC Rookie of the Week Jeremy Ouellette (Old Saybrook, Conn.) paced the Lynx Sunday with an opening round score of 86 (+15). Ouellette had his strongest part of the day on the back nine when he hit a 42 (+7). Currently, Ouellette sits at 21st place and is one of two Lesley golfers in the top 25.
• The Lynx's other golfer in the top 25 is Hunter Treanor (Bulverde, Tex.). The fellow first-year also had a solid outing on the day, finishing at +17 with an 88. 
• Looking down the leaderboard, two other Lynx are within the top 40.  Christian McElroy (Toms River, N.J.) currently has a 94 (+23) for 32nd place, and not far behind in 34th is Lesley's other NAC Rookie of the Week, Patrick Teasdale (Stamford, Conn.) with a score of 95 (+24). 
• Rounding out the five golfers for Lesley Sunday was Mason Erwin (Ivoryton, Conn.) with a 107 (+36) in 41st place.
