Pat Donovan began his first year on the Lesley baseball coaching staff in the Spring of 2011 during the program's inaugural season after being appointed to his position in July of 2010.

"I am extremely excited to add Pat to our staff.” said Lynx head coach Mike Rocco. “He was a very successful collegiate player and has had outstanding success coaching on the high school level working with pitchers. I am confident he will be able to carry that success over to us here at Lesley.”

Donovan is a 2007 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. In his two years at Lowell, he was a two-time First Team All-Northeast-10 Conference Selection, as well as being a First Team All-New England Honoree. In his two years he set the program record for saves in a single season and saves in a career.

Prior to Lowell, Donovan played two years at the University of Massachusetts at Boston, in which he was named Little East Conference Rookie of the Year in 2004 and was a two-time Little East Conference All-Conference Selection as both a pitcher and an outfielder.

Upon the completion of his collegiate career, the Lowell native played for the Ottawa Rapidz of the Independent Can-Am Baseball League for the summer of 2008. He also spent two years at his former high school with the Lowell (MA) High School Varsity Baseball Staff as their pitching coach in 2008 and 2009. In the spring of 2010, he was the freshman coach at Dracut (MA) High School.

Donovan is the Fitness Director at Gold's Gym in Westborough and currently resides in Lowell.
