ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Lesley University freshman Tom Muratore (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) has been announced as the 2015 New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Year. Muratore, who was honored with the award following a vote of the league's coaches, was also placed on the NECC Second Team All-Conference. Joining him with Second Team honors is junior Gustavo Polidor (Caracas, Venezuela) and senior Robert Parson (Commack, N.Y.).

Muratore led all NECC pitchers in Conference play with 49.2 innings pitched, 41 strikeouts, five complete games, and two shutouts in eight regular season conference appearances. His 1.63 NECC ERA was good for third in the league and he held opposing NECC players to a paltry .219 batting average.

Polidor made his presence felt immediately in his first season with the Lynx as the junior hit .377 with eight doubles, one triple, 12 RBI, and nine runs scored in 18 conference games. Polidor also displayed fantastic defense up the middle for the Lynx.

Parson capped his career with his second NECC All-Conference honor. The senior hit .377 with seven doubles, one home run, ten RBI, and 17 runs scored in 15 conference games played. The leadoff man also swiped four bags and published a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage while displaying fantastic range in centerfield.
