Hersey Named NECC Player of the Week

Sophomore David Hersey (Wolfeboro, N.H.) has been named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week. NECC Assistant Commissioner for Communications, Robb Modica, made the announcement this morning in the weekly conference release.

Hersey finished the season leading the Lynx with a .349 batting average and set a new Lesley record by compiling a .476 slugging percentage. On the year, he had five doubles, one home run, 11 RBI, and eight runs scored.

Hersey finished his season on a hot streak, finishing the week with a .700 average. In three games, the sophomore backstop went 7-10 with three doubles, three RBI, while launching his first home run of his collegiate career. He had a .727 on-base percentage while logging an incredible 1.300 slugging percentage as he knocked in three runs and scored twice.
