2013 Baseball Preview

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The 2013 baseball season kicks off on Saturday morning when the Lynx take on Clark University in Lakeland, Florida as part of the 2013 Russmatt Central Florida Invitational.

The Lynx return the majority of the roster from the 2012 campaign in which they tallied a program-best eight wins in just their second season. Junior Captain Ryan Genua (Prospect, Conn.) leads a pitching staff who returns four starters while junior outfielder Tyler Plourd (Canton, Conn.) will look to follow up his 2012 season where he led the Lynx with a .380 average and 17 RBI. Sophomore Robert Parson (Commack, N.Y.), who led the team with 11 stolen bases, will also help anchor an outfield that is loaded with speed.

After playing seven games in Florida, the Lynx return home and get right into NECC play as they travel to Elms College for a double-header on March 18th.

Genua and Plourd share their thoughts on the upcoming season:
