Lynx women's teams win fourth straight Champions Cup

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- For the fourth time in as many seasons in the New England Collegiate Conference, the Lynx have captured the women's NECC Champions Cup, a cummulative rankings of the in- and post-season success of the league's programs during the 2011-12 academic year.

On the men's side, Lesley finished fourth, improving three spots from a year prior.

Lesley's women's soccer and softball teams finished atop the league regular season standings, and softball and women's cross country captured post-season NECC Championships.

The Lynx men's soccer team, meanwhile, won its first NECC Championship, and the men's cross country team repeated as league champions in bolstering the jump on the men's side.

Founded in 2008, the NECC consists of 10 full-time member institutions and spans four states.
