22 fall student-athletes named to Academic All-NECC

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Lesley University athletes accounted for 22 of the New England Collegiate Conference's 172 students honored by the league on its Fall 2011 Academic All-Conference Team.

The team is an honor for sophomore, junior and senior fall sports student-athletes who post a minimum of a 3.40 grade point average on a 4.00 scale. Students from all 10 NECC member institutions and three associate members were named to the Academic All-Conference Team consisting of eight fall sports, six of which are sponsored by Lesley.

In addition to accounting for over 12 percent of the 172-student honor roll, the seven Lynx student-athletes from Lesley's women's cross country team were the most from any cross country team, and Lesley's eight women's soccer representatives tied for the most students from any team in any sport league-wide.
