THE LEAD – Lesley Women's Tennis bounced back from Saturday's loss and pulled out the win in a close contest against NAC opponent Husson.
HOW IT HAPPENED-FISHER
- Jessica Legendre and Mary Osucha continue to prevail in the number one doubles spot, with an 8-1 win against Julia Barber and Molly Chicoine. Brooke Whitten and Jordan Blair took care of business with a closely scored matchup, putting Lesley ahead 2-1 heading into singles.
- Legendre pulled out a quick win in singles, beating Emily Doten 6-0 6-0.
- Osucha and Whitten followed suit, Osucha posting 6-0, 6-1 scores and Whitten 6-0, 6-3.
- Husson pulled out wins in the final three singles matchups. Lucy Boyce put up a fight with a three-set match, eventually falling to Husson's Hannah Duley.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- In their last three contests since the cancelled 2020 season, Husson leads Lesley 2-1.
