Lynx Drop One to Strong Pride Performance

GAME OVERVIEW:

BOSTON, MA.-- The Lesley women's tennis team lost to non-conference opponents Regis Pride by a score of 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon. The Lynx fall to 5-4 on the season, while the Pride's third straight win brings them to 5-1.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Pride swept the doubles portion of the match only giving up four total points throughout the three matches. Ariana McCormack and Carly Donovan led the way for Regis, beating Maddie Abbott and Grace Jovanovich 8-0.
  • Donovan bested Abbott again in singles #1, sweeping both games. McCormack also beat Morgan Anderson in singles #2, only allowing Anderson to score one point in total. 
  • Joselyn Martinez put up a strong fight in singles #6, as did Mary Pulling in singles #5, but neither were able to hold off their Regis opponents. Martinez pushed Abby Hewett to scores of 6-3 and 7-5, while Pulling lost to Ginger Boodakian 6-4 and 6-1.
  • Regis finished with their third shut out of the season and continued a string of dominant performances.
