Bessey Nets 2 in 7-0 Win

Cambridge, Mass-  Junior Samantha Bessey (Algonquin, Il) notched 2 goals to help lift the Lynx over Dean College 7-0 in the NECC Conference match up.  With the win, Lesley improves to 9-2-2 overall and extends their unbeaten conference streak to four games.  Dean College slips to 2-10 and 1-3 in NECC play.

It didn't take Lesley long to take over the game scoring four goals in the first 40 minutes of play.  The first goal of the match came as Junior Jordan Mitchell (Sachse, Texas) delivered a ball into the box that worked its way to Senior Karlie Rubin (San Diego, Calif.) for her eighth strike of the year at the 9:40 mark.

Lesley added another goal in the 25th minute when Sophomore Gabby Vesona (North Attleboro, Mass.) dribbled through the middle and found Mitchell for a right footed blast past the Bulldog's goaltender.

The Lynx capped off their scoring in the first half two minutes apart from each other.  Freshman Maddy Deitrick (Burnet, TX) displayed some foot skills through the Bulldog defense and got off a shot for her third goal of the season.  Less than two minutes later in the 41st minute, Sophomore Kateyn Scott (Glendora, CA) found a rebound and tapped it in to give the Lynx a 4-0 advantage at the half.

The second half continued in similar fashion for the Lynx as Sohomore Holly Buschelman (Long Beach, Calif.) scored and Junior Samantha Bessey (Algonquin, Ill.) found the back of the net twice to account for the final score.

Lesley controlled play for much of the contest, finishing with a 29-1 edge in shots and a 7-0 edge in corner kicks. Macy Parisee (East Freetown, Mass.) collected seven saves in the loss for the Bulldogs.

The Lynx look to extend their unbeaten streak on Saturday October 14th when then travel to Wheelock College.
