Strong Lynx performance over Regis College 5-1

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) and Lauren Mastellone (Howell, N.J.) handled all the scoring for the Lady Lynx as Lesley defeated Regis College 5-1.

Fralick struck first off a pass from Christina Corso (Shoreham, N.Y.) at 8:51 to give the Lynx an early lead.  Mastellone continued the first half dominance with back to back goals at 22:38 and 37:27 with assists from Alyson Durben (Stow, Mass.) and Margaret Surrena (Vestal, N.Y.) respectively.  Under two minutes into the second half, Fralick tilted the score even further with her second goal at 46:45.  She completed the hat trick at 54:51 on an unassisted ball past the Regis keeper.

"That's the kind of start every coach dreams about." said Head Coach Paul Vasconcelos.  "It gave our team a chance to take control of the flow of the game.  If that happens, then we can play with confidence."

Samantha LaFrance of Regis College tallied the team's only goal at 87:00 off an assist from Janelle Welsh.
