Jones & Drezek Each Score 30 in Loss to Bulldogs

GAME OVERVIEW:

NEW LONDON, CT. -- The Lesley women's basketball team lost 97-65 against the Dean Bulldogs on Thursday night. The Lynx drop to 0-16 on the season and 0-12 in the conference, while the Bulldogs advance to 6-16 and 5-7 in the conference.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • Dakota Jones and Sydnie Drezek carried the load for the Lynx. Jones scored 33 points and collected 19 rebounds to extend her NECC leading averages to 23.9 points per game and 15.5 rebounds per game. Drezek scored 30 points, with twelve coming from the free throw line, and also had 5 rebounds and 5 assists on the night.
  • Dean's Makayla Rudder is hot on Jones' heels in the NECC scoring champion race. Rudder scored 48 points in this one on 23 of 37 shooting. She is now sitting at 21.7 points per game for the Bulldogs. Rudder also grabbed 14 rebounds to complete a double-double.
  • Sitaara Muhammad and Alexah Potter also had double-doubles for Dean. Muhammad scored 10 points and dished out 13 assists, while Potter scored 13 and picked up 12 rebounds.
