Lynx Lose to Blazer Despite Jones' Career High 37

GAME OVERVIEW:

MEDFORD, MA. -- The Lesley women's basketball team lost to the Elms Blazers on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 86-59. The Lynx drop to 0-14 on the season and 0-10 in the conference, while the Blazers advance to 8-13 and 4-6 in the conference.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • Dakota Jones had a career day for the Lynx. Jones scored a career high 37 points on 14 of 25 shooting, while also grabbing 16 rebounds and notching one assist, one steal, and one block. Jones is sitting at a career best 22.4 points and 14.8 rebounds per game in her senior season.
  • Sydnie Drezek and Hope Seasholes provided the rest of the offense for the Lynx. Drezek had ten points and five rebounds, while Seasholes had nine points and seven rebounds.
  • The Lynx fought hard to only a twelve point deficit at halftime, but the Blazers were able to finally pull away in the fourth as fatigue set in for Lesley.
  • Regina LeBlanc led the Blazers with 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Daija Black had 13 points and seven rebounds, while Lashaunte White had 12 points, five rebounds, and seven assists.
