Quick Start Fuels Eastern Nazarene Past Women's Basketball

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Eastern Nazarene College scored the first seven points of the night and never looked back as they rolled to a 74-20 win over the Lesley University women's basketball team in non-conference action tonight at the Lahue Gymnasium.

The Lion's saw eleven different players score to claim their second straight victory as they improve to 3-1 on the season. Nicole Greer, Jasmine Mata, and Celina Calderon each poured in ten points and combined for six assists and six steals to pace the hosts while Jessica Franco came off the bench to add nine points and six boards. Elia Salazar led all players with seven rebounds, six coming off the offensive glass, to go with her four points.

Sophomore Theresa Pereira (Hopedale, Mass.) led the Lynx with a team-best nine points, three rebounds, and two steals while senior Ari Dimou (Manchester, N.H.) grabbed a team-high five rebounds while adding three steals and three points. Sophomore Lilly Donovan (Newburyport, Mass.) and senior Hayley Wirth (Escondido, Calif.) each finished with four points in the loss.

The Lynx drew 16 fouls and sunk 12-of-18 from the free throw line on the night but the Lions turned 30 Lesley turnovers into 31 points while their bench outscored their guests by a 47-4 margin.

Lesley will continue their five-game road swing on Tuesday, December 1st in Nashua, N.H. when they open New England Collegiate Conference play against Daniel Webster College at 7:00p.
