Lesley drops one to Regis, 70-54

WESTON, Mass. - In a non-conference match up against Regis College, the Lesley University women's basketball team dropped their first game of the season, losing 54-70. 

Hailee Lowe (Hamilton, Mass.) had 17 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks but despite the strong performance, the Lynx committed 31 turnovers resulting in 36 points.  Courtnie Leakeas (Lowell, Mass.), Brianne Caira (Pelham, N.H.), and Kaitlyn Wechsler (Merrick, N.Y.) chipped in with ten, eight, and eight points a piece. 

Regis had four players in double-digit points to help give the Pride a 35-24 advantage in the second half.  Jessica Page, Laura Sears, and Tashi Hamilton each scored 18 points and Kimberly Mariotti chipped in with 12.  Page also had eight steals to lead the defensive effort for the Regis.

Lesley will be in action again Thursday November 29 at home against Mount Ida College at 8 p.m.
