Jordan Day Named NCAA D3 Softball Statistical Champion for Hits and Toughest to Strikeout

Cambridge, Mass. – Lesley Softball student-athlete Jordan Day (Seminole, FL) has been named the NCAA Division III Softball Statistical Champion for hits and toughest to strikeout.

  • In 40 games this past season, Day collected 78 hits to lead NCAA Division III in the category. The NFCA All-American also had the fewest strikeouts in the nation with zero K's in 135 at bats. This is Day's second time being a statistical champion as toughest to strikeout.
  • Over Day's career, she has recorded 136 hits in two seasons, and has not struck out during her 253 career at bats.
  • Day finished a fantastic sophomore with an NFCA First Team All-American selection, an NFCA First Team All- Region Selection, and an NECC First Team All-Conference selction with a .578 batting average, 45 RBI's and nine homeruns. Day led the Lynx and the NECC conference in nearly every offensive category over the year.

LYNX 2019 SEASON

  • Lesley went 25-15 overall and 11-5 in NECC action. The Lynx advanced to the NECC semifinals before falling to eventual champions, Eastern Nazarene College.
