INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

  • Early in the first set, Lesley was tied 2-2 with the hosts with the Lynx two points coming from an attack and a service error from Eastern Nazarene's Brandon Jenkins.
  • The Lions then stepped up their performance with a nine point streak which included three kills from Andrew Shaw and three service aces from Kenny Sorensen.
  • Lesley battled back to get within five at 14-9 before the Quincy school tagged on a six point streak to cement their lead. Eastern Nazarene had 14 points to spare in claiming the opening set.
  • The Lynx capitalised on three errors from the Lions at the beginning of the second set to take a 3-2 lead. Eastern Nazarene overturned the narrow deficit with a five point streak to go 7-3 up.
  • Lesley's only two kills of the second set both came from Alexander Genova, who was assisted on the second occasion by Karuna Chiemruom. Eastern Nazarene scored the final four points of the set to go 2-0 up on the night.
